The New Forest Breakfast
Cottage Lodge B&B Brockenhurst is delighted to be one of the first properties in the forest to provide guests with the New Forest Breakfast. All the produce comes from the forest and travels the minimum number of food miles possible
Breakfast is served from 8.15 -10am Monday to Friday and 8.45 - 10.30am Saturday and Sunday. For an earlier breakfast we can either offer continental breakfast in the room or for an extra £10 per half hour we can provide you with an earlier cooked breakfast (24 hour notice required).
Free range eggs: produced by C&S Atyeo & Sons, Ashley.
Local field mushroom: cultivated by Merry Orchard, Cowsfield. (can also be topped with Nettle and Garlic Lyburne Cheese)
Tomato: in season grown by Turvills, Pennington. (Out of season - Isle of Wight)
Sausage: made by Owls Barn, Sopley, from pigs reared in the forest.
Streaky bacon: dry cured at Owls Barn, Sopley using an organic process.
Back bacon: prepared by Ringwood Piggeries, Somerley, Ringwood
Yogurt, fresh fruit, fruit juices, cereals, local jams and marmalades, bakery items are displayed on the buffet for you to help yourself.
Soya milk, green tea, local Hampshire peppermint tea, decafinated coffee and tea, soya bread are all available on request (24 hours notice).
We are delighted to cater for people with special dietry requirements and we serve Cauldrons sausages for those asking for a vegetarian breakfast.
